Something for Everyone from Pointe to Contemporary

Jazz Intro

This is an introductory jazz class focusing on jazz dance technique including isolations, rhythmic patterns, turns and leaps.


Classes focus on the development of basic ballet skills with an emphasis on proper placement, alignment, strength, flexibility, balance, and vocabulary. Both barre and center work focus on preparations for turns, jumps, and leaps.

Pre-Pointe and Strengthening

This class is to prepare dancers to be successful and strong on pointe by emphasizing strengthening exercises for the legs and feet.


Dancers interested in pointe must also be taking a weekly ballet class. Before starting this class there will be a few exercises that BalléNess requires the dancer to successfully complete while wearing your pointe shoes to ensure that you are strong enough for training on pointe. *This includes dancers already training on pointe.


This energetic jazz class focuses on progression of jazz dance technique, isolations, rhythmic patterns, alignment, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Including center work with turns, jumps, and leaps.


Similar to lyrical, this class is set to today’s music and utilizes ballet, jazz, and modern techniques to create an imaginative and creative class that enhances strength, technique, and flexibility.


Begins with floor stretch and moves to center work, then across the floor. Modern technique emphasizes on the core and creativity by focusing on strength, control, flexibility, movement sequences and rhythmic perception.
