Meghan Cunha, BalléNess® Instructor
Meghan began dancing at the age of three at the Carlene Nazarian Dance Center in Salem, New Hampshire. It was there that she practiced various dance disciplines, including ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, and tap, until the age of 18. Some of the highlights of the many years she danced include dancing at Disney World’s Epcot Center, performing in dance competitions, and attending a dance workshop in New York City.
She continued dancing throughout her studies at the University of New Hampshire; although dance was not her primary focus, her passion and need for expression through movement needed to be fulfilled. In addition to the dance classes she enrolled in, she was also a part of the UNH Dance Team from 2002-2003. Meghan earned her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management in 2005 and promptly moved to Maryland where she worked at the Montgomery County Humane Society as their volunteer coordinator.
Meghan and her husband welcomed their first daughter in 2007 and twins, a boy and girl, in 2010. While she always tried to maintain a healthy lifestyle, having a hectic schedule with three children required taking some time out to really focus on fitness. Meghan has enjoyed Zumba, Pilates, and functional training routines, but when she found BalleNess, it was love at first class! It was an easy decision to become part of the BalleNess team.
Meghan is currently a stay-at-home mom and enjoys sewing, learning new crafting activities, and baking. But she especially loves to dance and is excited to share the fun and fitness that comes along with it.
